  Learning Watercolour Through Experimentation As we were changing our home decor my mom asked me for some drawings and paintings to hang on the walls. But what she wanted was quite out of my comfort zone, she asked me to make watercolour paintings of plants. Which was really hard for me since: 1- I've never worked with watercolor. 2- I rarely drew flowers. But as mothers day approached I was determined to learn how to use watercolor.  At first I did some research about the medium and picked the paper i needed. Then I started to experiment. First I drew a small wild pensy. But the colors were not bright enough for my liking. So I adepted my style to be more bright. The second flower I chose was a bigger piece. A batch of forget me nots. They came out better. For my third piece I wanted to try a monstera leaf. But it needed more to be hung on the wall so I decided to create some contrast by using hot pink in the background.  THE CONCERT!!!! We had our first concert as Grup Gurub! To start off we had many tribulations before our concert. Out guitar had some problems some of our friends were not gonna be able to make it to the concert etc. But most importantly...WE ALL LOST OUR VOICES!  It was pure chaos. I told my friends that maybe we should postpone the concert. I had lost my hope at that point but then our music teacher came and told us that he had one of his best concerts while sick and that we could do it. Then we started to compliment each oter and tell one another that we could do it. After lots of pampering and pep talks we started to believe we could actually do it. We had some mistakes and hardships during the concert but we were able to play it off and stay calm, at the end we had a very successful concert and many people kept asking us to put our covers on spotify!! they asked for recordings of our set and our singing videos again and again.   First Full Set Practice!!! We got the chance to test our equipment and have a full show rehearsal today!! Today we had a three hour practice/rehearsal for our upcoming concert with mics and all!! It felt very real we are actually going to have this concert😍😍😍 I'm very excited about it!!! There was many changes made in the way we sit and communicate since we needed to face the audience but we pulled through and mahanged to get a good final result. We had some difficulties because of the changes in schedule but as the leader I had to keep the mood up and make sure everyone was still focusing fully.  Although it was hard we will get through this as a team and have a great concert here is a pictures from todays rehearsal 😆😄😃

 FIRST GROUP PRACTICE!! We finally had our first practice as a group of three !! We had a practice session that lasted around 5 hours today for our upcoming concert. Having to work together made us realise eachothers strenghts and points we can improve about ourselves. We practiced all the songs we had on our setlist and worked on back vocals mainly. As the groups leader it was my job to make sure the songs had smooth transitions and our setlist was reliable. In order to make sure our setlist was possible to perform I had to understand our teams strenghts and weaknesses and learn my own limits and how much I can go beyond said limits. Which was a great opportunity regarding crisis management since I had to make last minute calls and changes to ensure perfection. At the end we had a great session and are almost ready for our performance.  I can't wait for our concert see you on the next post where I will talk about our first concert!!!

 INTODUCING: GURUB!! HI EVERYONE!! I’m finally back with more things to talk about. I now have a band!!! We are an acoustic band consisting of me (lead vocal) and two of my best friends from prep year of highschool, Kerim (guitar + vocals) and Ahsen (guitar + vocals). We had our first rehearsal today sadly only with me and Kerim. It took us about 3 hours but finally we decided the tone of three songs and figured out the back vocals. This small rehearsal made me realize how much hard work actually goes into music. Working as a team was not my strongest suit previously but while working for something I love like music it was a lot easier. I had a lot of fun while trying to get the songs right. Some  other people came in to listen to us playing and singing, though it was not an actual concert or a show it still made me quite proud. Drawing With Graphite Pencils I’ve always enjoyed using art as a form of self-expression since I was as young as two years old. Though I had a long art journey one of the mediums I always avoided was graphite pencils. This year I wanted to challenge my skills by using a medium I’ve never used before. I signed up for a local graphite pen course and started learning about the new medium. Because of my already existing experience in still drawings it wasn’t hard for me to learn a new medium. This gave me a new way of self expression and created a new outlet for my creativity. I’m glad I challenged myself this way.
